Drama. Two acts. 3w, 4m.
Hillary, a woman in her middle years, hears a voice in the shower that tells her to hit the road. She leaves her minister husband to go in search of God or in search of a purpose or perhaps just in search of herself. Guided by Dee Tour, a road crew angel, and both helped and hindered by her mother’s ancestors and nightmares, Patrick Henry and Thomas Hardy, both Hillary and her movie idol companion, Pasqual, have their faith and beliefs tested by lions, dragons, their pasts and death, and finally by Big House Man who tries to destroy all pilgrims.
Inspired by John Bunyan’s PILGRIM’S PROGRESS, the play is about a woman’s search for salvation. It is also a love story about age and youth, faith and dreams.
